The trumpet vines I planted last summer have really filled out and crept up my trellis (and out, when I allowed them). The orange one has its first cluster of blooms. Although, I’m more excited awaiting the less common yellow trumpet vine… I’ll just have to wait and see.
Some people compare the flower vine to Kudzu… I have seen some trumpet vines that owners let get out of control. However, with a showcase of radiant blooms that allure butterflies and hummingbirds, it’s a welcome vine in my garden.
