The first full day of Spring is one of my favorite days of the entire year. As a celebration of this season, I sharing with you my newest seasonal poem.

inThe changing of the seasons are my favorite times of the year. The changes reminds me why we’re alive and rejuvenates my senses, mind, body and soul. This is a fall list poem.
Fallen Leaves
summer’s last lingering bloom
October’s Harvest Moon
birds migrating south
carmel apples in my mouth
ruby red leaves
golden yellow leaves
orange leaves
racking together leaves
during the crisp eves
jumping in leaf piles
children’s autumn smiles
kids are all in cahoots
jeans, fleece jackets and leather boots
apple orchards & hot apple cider
beautiful web with a spider
lost in a cornfield maze
crisp clear night, a star gaze
Heritage Days
community yard sales
corn stalks and hay bales
first frost, crunchy ground
wind in the trees, rustling sound
no natural joy left unfound
crisp cool, smokey air
Bloomsburg Fair
Halloween candy, plenty to share
pretend monsters moans
shrieks and groans
people begin wearing jewel tones
Autumn Trees
cutting firewood
trick-or treating round the hood
candy corn
foggy morn
basket weaving
Halloween & Thanksgiving
Autumn is the season to live in!
nippy nose
chilly toes
jack o’lanterns & scarecrows
pumpkin seeds roasting
marshmallows toasting
costume making
pumpkin pie baking
apple butter, apple dumpling
pumpkin patch & pumpkin picking
spiced wafers & chrysanthemums
bobbing for apples in large wooden drums
Hubster & Pumpkin Leaf Peeping at PA Grand Canyon
witches, goblins and ghouls,
kettle cooked soup in bread bowls
pomegranates, cranberries, munch, munch
walnuts, almonds, chestnuts, crunch, crunch

Pumpkin’s Birdhouse
These are the things that remind me of summer…
Butterfly on Salvia Bloom
Summer
ice-cream, watermelon, sprinkler chases,
sun, bare feet, fireflies, smiling faces,
kickball, baseball, running bases,
traveling to far away places
hammocks, tree swings,
ice-cream truck rings,
bird sings
roses, lilies, green leaves,
Virginia creeper climbing up the eaves
Fire color Asiatic Lilies
corn of the cob, coleslaw, picnic in the park
sunscreen, swimsuit, ocean sand, tooth of a shark
hiking, backpack
boardwalk, kayak
fireman carnival,
waterfalls,
most favorite of them all,
freckles appear,
ice-cold root-beer
swimsuits, cutoff shorts,
laughing until someone snorts
headband sunglasses,
watching the cloud as it passes,
strawberry, blueberry,
blackberry, raspberry
summer camp,
luggage’s damp
honey bees,
climbing trees,
warm breeze,
sun brewed teas
wildflowers,
sun showers,
giant sunflowers
daisy crowns,
cheerful sounds,
lying on the mossy ground
swimming pools,
acting like fools,
helping daddy with his tools
frisbee, beach ball,
leisurely stroll
water guns and water balloons,
if we ever stop, it’d be too soon
longer days,
are full of play
Rickett’s Glen Waterfalls
dinner on a campfire,
under a starlit sky we retire
XOXO,
Young Wifey
