Inner Jewelry Maker Returns
During undergrad, I made scarfs, hats, purses, ear-warmers for gifts for my family and friends. I eventually sold my crafts to my friends (to use as gifts) and then eventually to other students after much persuading (them persuading, not me). Just before winter holiday was a busy time, I would crochet while studying. One year later, after making jewelry for a play, several friends asked me to make them similar earrings, bracelets and necklaces and that was surprisingly where the profit was. Which totally made sense! After all, I was an earring queen: I always had a different pair for each outfit, colorful, funky, classic, chic, I had all my bases covered. I liked to make new ones to match my outfits, because I could never find the pairs that were just right at the store. After graduating it was a few years later until I made earrings for my bridal party. I’ve been itching to start my earring making again, so I made a stop at a craft store and restocked a few jewelry making essentials. I had so much fun, I made 20 pairs the first day! I think I’ll set some up during our community yard & craft sale and see how they do…
