In the process of setting up a guest room, I’ve shown you some of the birdcages I have in the room. I found this adorable birdcage light on Pinterest and remembered I had seen one a few years ago and wanted to recreate my own. I used 3 strands of 100 white lights with white cords and filled my shabby chic bird house to light up my guest room.
What do you think?
This is darling and would be perfect in a girls nursery!
I’d love to have a lil girl some day… she’d def have fairy lights in her room!
That’s cool!
🙂 Thanks Greg!
How clever and placing it in a guest room is perfect!
Just a lil’ bit of magic!
Beautiful! TRES CHIC!
Thanks Elle!
My mouth dropped when I saw this picture. STUNNING. I love how the clustered lights look inside!!! I’ve seen stuff like this done with too-few lights, and it doesn’t have nearly the same wow factor that this one does. Well done!!!
xoxo Linda
Thanks! Yes, I agree about the amount of lights, they not need to be sparse. Lighting should feel warm!
Very nice.
Thanks!
A fantastic idea!
Thanks Brigid!
That is just adorable!
Thanks! 🙂
Love this idea!!
Thanks Pamela!
I’m in love this this idea!
Thanks Kerri, me too!

Wow! Beautiful and so easy! I have a wooden birdcage just sitting in the closet, waiting for a makeover. Mine will be on my porch this summer with lights in it! Where can I find the tiny lights this time of year?
Craft store in the wedding section! I’d love to see it when you’re done!
I’m new to your site. It’s really terriffic! I’m inspired by your French lampshade. I saw it on Brag Monday. Think I’ll try one, although it looks time intensive. Wish me luck!
Thanks & welcome! Haha, Good luck! It didn’t take too long to complete the lamp shade. I’d love to see pics of your finished project.
Little Southern Belles would love this enchanting lamp!
Awe, thanks!

Thank you! Awesome Tina! Post a pic of the finished project on my FB page!
Oooooh I’m thinking this may be a great idea for an outdoor wedding decoration. I have a few birdcages now that I’m using for decoration in my house, but think I’ll have to repurpose them for the wedding reception as outdoor lights. Thanks!
They would make a great wedding decoration, great idea!
