Happy Early Valentine’s Day Everyone!
Hubster & I always make homemade Valentine’s for one another. In lieu of a Valentine’s Day card for Hubster this year, I made a perpetual Valentine for our home. Now I just need to get him to hand it up…
I started by painting a base coat on a blank canvas and blended a few shades together. Then I used a darker paint and stenciled it over the base color. Last, I glue button on the canvas in a heart shape and I wrote him a special note on the back of the frame. The brown and blue match our bedroom decor well (colors are a bit off in the picture).
I’m also working on another button art panel for our living room (not a heart though)…
When is the last time you made or received a homemade Valentine?
I always make homemade Valentine cards. I love to create them. My daughter did a cute idea for her son’s preschool treat for tomorrow. She cut summer sausage with a heart cookie cutter, stuck a toothpick with a honeycomb heart on one end thru the heart at an angle and disected a cheese cube to look like an arrow point for the other end. Looks like an arrow thur the heart. Very clever. The thing is the schools are encouraging “healthy snacks.” I’ll try to get a picture from her to send you.
Glad you make your own cards. They’re just so special! That snack sounds cute!
What a cute idea, I wish I was craftier. IS that a word?
Yes, it’s a word (it’s a comparative adjective, haha)… Thank you!
Aww I love this so much! How precious!!
Christopher and I make homemade valentine’s cards for each other every year. Love it! 🙂
Happy Valentine’s day, girl!
Thank you! You too!!! ❤
