My sister makes wonderful pecans and shares them each Christmas. Her recipe is delicious and sweet recipe. I bought a bulk bag of pecans and have some to use up. Anticipating my sister’s pecans inspired me to find a spicy recipe for pecans, to make Hubster a treat for football days. I tried two different recipes and then combined elements from both of them to make one he liked. This one is super easy!
Ingredients: 6 c. pecans, 1 egg white, 2 Tbs. brown sugar, 2 Tbs. sea salt, 2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes, 2 tsp. chili powder, 1 tsp. cayenne powder
Directions: Beat egg white with spices, coat pecans well. Bake at 300°F for 20 minutes. Let cool a bit, serve warm.
